The QS commitment to sustainability
At QS, we are dedicated to help shape, deliver and evaluate your Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy and achieve institutional goals on sustainability.
We actively put our commitments into practice, implementing sustainability initiatives and continually working toward measurable goals while reviewing and refining our policies to address evolving global challenges.
QS was the first to incorporate sustainability into our flagship ranking.
The CANIE Accord is included in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability methodology to acknowledge the institutions that drive climate action and foster sustainable practices on a global scale.
The QS Reimagine Education Awards reward the most pioneering pedagogical approaches that boost learning outcomes and employability, as well as effective methods of teaching sustainability.
QS has been involved in philanthropic activities since 2005. QS ImpACT is a global charity recognising and providing scholarships to a community of young leaders positively impacting their society.
We are a certified Carbon Neutral company and each year, we partner with a project to offset our emissions. We currently support an Amazon reforestation project.
We have achieved the Investors in People Gold accreditation thanks, in part, to our global diversity and inclusion efforts to create a supportive culture where staff feel united despite geographical distances.
QS at COP29

QS was invited to participate at COP29 in partnership with Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education and State Agency for Science and Higher Education. A QS-led panel session chaired by QS Senior Vice President, Ben Sowter, explored what it takes to run a sustainable university, and what impact higher education can have in the fight against climate change.
